In the days leading up to Remembrance day, we stop to remember those who have sacrificed their all for our country; both in the field and here on home soil:
Warrant Officer Patrice Vincent, died Oct. 20 after a “radicalized” individual deliberately ran him down in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Que. He was targeted simply for wearing his uniform. Then, on Oct. 22, the nation’s capital was attacked and a gunman shot Nathan Cirillo in the back, before storming Parliament Hill and being shot down. The reservist had been standing ceremonial guard at the Tomb of the Unknown soldier when he was senselessly attacked, without warning.
Both of these men died, simply for serving their country. On this somber anniversary, it is our duty to remember their sacrifice, and to remember why they served.
We at Tactical 74 salute their dedication, honor and their service.
